Great trip. Caught a lot of fish. Wore us out reeling them up from over 100 ft down. Avoid daulpins as they steel fish after hooking them

I know it’s fishing and not catching but, I literally caught nothing on a five hour trip.  Between my whole group we ended up with a quarter pound of filets from a single fish.  Not at all impressed with the captain either.  Literally said nothing to us except at the end “Sorry we couldn’t do better”.  We spent more time driving the boat than fishing by FAR.

Great time! The moon was full so it wasn’t the best time to go fishing but we caught several and different types of quality fish.

It started with the boat being 30 min late. Captain never introducing himself but Tyler the first mate was super cool. It was a little rough which can’t be controlled but the boat is in bad shape w lots of water damage and kinda smelly. The bathroom was pretty nasty with wet toilet paper and I just wouldn’t touch anything!  On top of that, one of the kids left a ziplock with goldfish open for a few minutes and it immediately had a couple trophy cockroaches inside. The cockroaches also got in the bags of chips we had open in my backpack. Oh yeah we didn’t catch anything either. One small snapper under the size limit and a king Mackerel. Tyler worked hard but the boat kept dragging us around and we stayed tangled up a lot. We got very few bites and I get it because it’s fishing not catching but with a nasty boat, rough seas, and no fish it was a long 1/2 day!
