My 11 year old son and myself booked a full day fishing trip with Armando Alejo, and what a day it was.  Armando was in contact via text days before the trip being VERY detailed on what to expect.  To say the least, the trip was everything he described and more.  Armando said it will be a great day of fishing (with no promises) and great conversation…He was dead on!!  Armando offered to pick us up at our door since we happened to be staying in the same location as his boat.  He was on time, actually early, we made him wait for us!!  When we arrived at the dock to launch his boat, I offered to help, somewhat knowing what I’m doing, he refused my help and said, “You are here to enjoy the day, NOT work!”.  I was impressed with that and let him do everything!!  Once on his boat, he explained, in detail, where we were going and what we would fish for first.  The first stop was a hot spot, catching fish almost immediately.  My son was the first to reel one in, thankfully, he was so excited!!  Once we caught every fish in that area, Armando took us to another spot and caught more fish.  We moved on to yet another of Armando’s “spots” and caught MORE fish!!  At this point, being with Armando for 3-4 hrs, I could tell this guy was really passionate about fishing and making sure everyone on board was having a great time and doing what we set out to do…catch fish!!!  We ended the day at another spot where the fish were plentiful.  Once we were done fishing, Armando went out of way to take show us what I called alligator alley.  I’ve never seen an alligator or crocodile in the wild before this trip.  We greatly appreciated Amando’s extra effort and showing this to us.  The whole trip, Armando treated my son like he was one of his own.  His professional background funneled into his passion, and I greatly appreciated that…he’s a good man!!  Once we returned to the dock, Armando cleaned our catch of the day and proceeded to tell us about a restaurant called “The Fish House” where we can take our catch and they would prepare it however we wanted it.  Of course, we invited Armando to enjoy our fresh caught meal with us…and a good one it was!!  Can’t say enough about Armando and how he made a father and son fishing trip a HUGE success!!  I feel I’ve made a new friend and hope to see him again in the future for another memorable experience on or off the water!!  I highly recommend anyone booking with Armando Alejo!!  Thanks, for the memories with my son!!  Scott Havel

The odds were against us on a windy chilly morning.  Not for Capt. Armando…I released a 28” Redfish shortly after my first cast.  That was one of 35 Redfish caught that day ( including 2 released Bull Reds, 3 “slot” Reds).  I have to give a shout out to the Monster Red that took me to the woodshed!  Maybe you’ll catch him when you book Capt. Armando.  Most people would be thrilled with that many fish on a full day charter, but we also caught 10 Snook (all released), one “slot” Black Drum, and a “slot” Gator Trout.  I also need to compliment the “slot” Snook that gill-plated my leader when he saw the boat!  I was sincerely spoiled with first class gear, tackle, shallow drafting boat, and a wealth of fishing knowledge provided by our Captain.
I highly recommend Captain Armando as an accomplished guide with a personality that instantly make you feel like family.

What a great day fishing in the glades!!! Capt was very knowledgeable and conversation during trip was great!!  After a little bit of slow start because of the west winds, captain changed his plan and put us on the fish!!!  We caught redfish, tripletail, trout, snapper, whiteshead!! At our request we used the last couple of hours to try and find the tarpon…and boy did he!!!  We jumped five tarpon!!! I don’t know how many missed our plug but it was an exciting couple of hours!! I would highly recommend Capt Armando for anyone wanting to fish in the everglades!!!  Good luck and tight lines!!!

My boyfriend and I took our first fishing road trip down all of south Florida and this was by far one of the best experiences we had. Capt. Armando was not only super knowledgeable about the Everglades and where to find the fish but also extremely hospitable and helpful throughout the whole day. He had all the equipment we needed and was able to put us on snook, redfish, triple tail, and even on a huge tarpon that we had to fight a black tip shark over. Capt. Armando was cheering us on everytime we had a bite and his genuine love for fishing and positive personality made it almost impossible not to have a great time. Unbelievable trip! We will be back for more very soon.

Captain Armando, was very accommodating to our schedule.  We had to change twice with no problems.  We kept us informed of weather conditions and what we need to bring.  very punctual.  Wanted for a long time to take my 8 yr old son, who loves fishing, in a great adventure, and the wait paid off. 
Capt Armando was very patient with my son, and taught him proper ways to fish.

Armando put us on the fish the first minute we arrived at he spot.  My son lost a big shark, we caught, a couple over 8lb sea trout,  same size red fish.  Also a sheepshead and many other species.  Continuous action all the time we were in the boat.

Definitely recommend Capt. Armando, specially to family with kids.  This is your guide.  Can’t wait come back again.
