What an Awesome Experience!  This, by far, was my best fishing day ever!  Hats off to the entire crew for making this trip spectacular!  Captain Rob got us out to a great spot and Josh and Sean took care of us manning the poles and providing top notch service!  We landed 7 Yellowfin Tuna and capped off the day bringing in a 107 Lb Blue Marlin!  This crew made it happen and will always look to go out with this team the next time I visit Kauai!  Thank you Rob, Sean, Josh and Makai Sportsfishing!

My husband and I went fishing this morning with Captain Rob and Sean.  A nice gentleman from Germany joined us on the fishing trip as well.  The boat was great.  I tend to get sea sick so I take medication.to combat this, however: the meds tend to make me sleepy as well as getting up at 4:45am.  The sofa in the cabin was the perfect spot for a nap as we began our journey out.  The men had already caught a few skip Jack tuna when I woke up.  Captain Rob was great about finding the fish and before we knew it we had caught some.more skip Jack tuna as well as yellow fin tuna.  Sean was a great deck hand and very knowledgeable about the fish and the islands.  He also enjoys cooking so we got to chatting about the different methods for preparing the tuna. Sean also was continuously cleaning the boat so it stayed nice and clean.  I enjoyed watching g him methodically clean
and filet all the fish.  There was plenty of fish for the 5 of us.  We would definitely recommend Makai Sportfishing for your next fishing adventure.

Captain Rob and deckhands Shawn and Silas worked hard for the 5 fishermen on board. Got the lines back out after a fish on, answered our questions, let me watch Silas process the tuna. If you want to take fish back to the mainland, that’s do it yourself regardless of your specific charter. Do your homework beforehand and keep in mind you have to go through agricultural inspection at the airport. Mahalo to Makai Sportfishing.

The captain and crew were great. Organized, responded to questions in a respectful and timely manner.  The captain and crew were very friendly and made every effort to make the trip fun and memorable. Lots of humor and information about the local culture. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone. As an added bonus we caught fish. Great experience. Thank you captain Sean and crew.
