Took a couple of guys and my 1st Mate out lat week and filled the box with "Mango" Snapper! Live shrimp amd light tackle was the ticket!

Lots of action in shallow water off the beaches with Spanish, Kings and Shark. Going to heat up even more as the temos cool down!

Right before Hurricane Sally so rudely interupted us, the local reefs were on ?! Spanish Mackerel were everywhere with lots of nice hard fighting Bonita mixed in. Big Cudas were taking the mackerel and there were some FULL GROWN ?s patrolling the scene. Like, MONSTER sized! Can't wait for the next few days as the waves chill back down. Went out looking for shallow water Snappers and instead, ran into hungy schools of Banded Rudderfish! Wasnt what we expected but certainly were not disappointed. These guys fight HARD and taste amazing! You never know what the Gulf will give you!!

Took a Father and son out who wanted "big fish" and so we target the Goliaths! We pulled up a fat daddy along with some flounder and other tasty fish mixed in. Check out the 700# test Kevlar rooe we used for line!
