Had a great time fishing and learning the species and methods.  Would recommend any first timer to go with Hank for a great experience!

After the cold front that moved in earlier this week, it started out slow but after a bit we started killing it.  The captain was very knowledgeable of where the bit might be better and strived to get to the spots that really produced.  Super friendly all the way to telling us where to take our catch to be prepared for us so we didnt have to haul fish fillets all the way to Indiana lol.  Overall, highly recommend doing at least a half-day trip.

Put us on the HOT SPOT crushing the Kings! Everything you need for an awesome time. Basically climb aboard and catch! Captain Hank is very patient and I highly recommend him if you are a beginner.  Stop looking and start booking! You won’t be disappointed.  Can’t wait to fish with Deep Color Fishing charters when we return to the bay.

I booked this trip someone last minute and it was fairly easy. I was called the day before just to confirm everything and we set out on time on the morning of the trip. We spent just 10 or 15 minutes getting out to the first fishing spot and were catching some fish in about 30 minutes. It’s a good deal for the price as you pretty much just walk on the boat and start fishing. One of our passengers who we expected to get seasick, became seasick but Hank was accommodating and rushed back to drop them off and hurried back to allow us to continue fishing. We were brought out into some Bay Waters away from the red tide and enjoyed eating some of the fish we caught later that night(snapper) .  When I have other friends come in town, I’ll be calling back for other trips.

I go on lots of charters and Capt. Hank is great if you’re looking for a center console that will quickly get you to fish the Gulf. We bottom fished for Mangrove Snapper, and Grouper while freelining for King and Spanish Mackerel. We ended up catching a few Kings which is unusual for this time of the year. We also had a few Barracuda chases and Goliath hookups.

Even though Hank is a new captain in the area, he’s been fishing his entire life and knows how to give you a great time aboard his boat. He provides all the licenses, bait (live and cut) and tackle you need.

I’d recommend anybody visiting the area to check Hank out. Thanks for a great day out on the water!
