I was born and raised in the fishing industry with my father. I have fished these local waters for over 30 years. Fishing is just not what I do, it's who I am. I became a guide to share my knowledge with others, and to introduce kids to the wonderful world of fishing. Fishing is never a guarantee, I go above and beyond on every trip to insure my clients have the best possible experience.

We mainly fish live baits, but enjoy throwing top water baits early in the morning. Fishing is fishing, so sometimes you have to adjust. We may have one person throwing live baits while the other is throwing artificial. If I see one is producing more than the other, then we all switch to that bait. We fish a lot of stumps, grass, drifting points and ledges, jigging underwater rocks, and fishing piers. We also fish a lot of oil platforms. Though, my favorite is the ol' popping cork. For me, nothing is more exciting than watching my cork go under the water!

The speckled trout have made their way into the bay and are here in large numbers. These fish can be caught in very calm water, so it makes for a great trip for those that get sea sick or dont like a long boat ride to the fish. We catch these fish on light tackle in shallow water using live bait. A great trip for beginners or seasoned anglers.

With the summer time weather pattern setting in early this year, avoiding storms has proven more difficult than catching the fish. The speckled trout bite has been great, and not having to travel very far to get them. Most of these fish are caught in sight of the marina. The bite is really heating up, and days are booking fast, so get in on this action while they are here and hungry!
