This is off season a bit. But its beautiful out on the water. The guys are working really hard to get fish

Talk to your captain ahead of time to see when the best times are to go and if there is somthing specific you would like to catch.

It’s a beautiful place. Just remember it’s called fishing and not killing. Captain Art will do his best to put you on the fish. We had a successful day. Remember to tip your Captain. He works hard!

Fishing in and around Manistee Michigan is good mostly year around. You can catch anything from pan fish to Salmon.

Fishing at the end of August is some what slow you don’t catch quantity but more quality fish as in the size of the fish do your research and find a great captain who now’s were to find the fish I recommend The Line Dancer with captain Don and Bob

Get up early and take the morning fish trip and be prepared for a lot of excitement

Late August, after most kids go back to school, the mass tourism dies down and the place isn’t crowded. There are tons of King salmon in the bay, but they can be hit or miss on the bite as they get wise to fishing pressure and/or shift to spawn mode (the only reason the rating isn’t 5 stars)

Definitely went later in the season for August but we hooked up all the same and had a great time.

Expect to catch fish but also expect lulls in between. In August the fish are still moving in close to shore one minute and heading for deeper water the next. In the morning the fish were in close to shore. When the sun came up they headed for deep water. You can also expect to catch a variety of fish. There’s coho, chinook and Lake Trout.

Listen to your crew. We’re from St Louis. Fishing in the Great Lakes was very different than fishing in other Mid-West lakes. We lost a couple of nice sized salmon because we used other hook & reel techniques that simply don’t work when fishing in Lake Michigan. Following the crews advice we managed to catch plenty of nice size salmon, including the sixteen pounder my son caught.

Apparently the best time is early AM in May or June, but we were happy with our catch!

Highly recommend booking this fishing charter! We had the best time with family for our Grandpa’s 90th and caught 6 fish, 6-6! It was a success and Tucker and Alonzo were the best captains. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Bring rain gear it was supposed to be sunny but we got caught in a couple pretty good rain showers
