We booked an 8 hour trip and Manuel met us on the beach at our resort offering the 10 hour trip and suggesting that the fishing would be better if we went farther out. He said we would get 13-15ish fish rather than 8 or 10. We agreed to do so and met Francisco for our trip the next morning. The trip was great. Francisco worked very hard. We caught 3 tuna and 2 mahi mahi. After getting back, we were surprised, however, to learn that Francisco would get only a very very small cut of the large fee we paid for the trip. We were not prepared to tip the large amount expected to make it worth his time as he was great and worked really hard. Francisco was grateful for the amount we originally offered prior to knowing how little he would be paid - but it was obvious that he needed more to be able to support his family.

I am hopeful this was unintentional; but, we received 2 fake $5 bills as change when paying for our trip upon arrival at the pier.

Overall, the trip was great. I just wish we would have had a little more information regarding the pay and/or tipping situation prior to our trip so we would have known what questions to ask and have been more prepared.

Great crew and a fast boat. The crew worked really hard to hook fish for us and were very friendly. Fishing was great for mahi-mahi and blue marlin, although the marlin broke the line at the boat. We plan to take this charter again next year.

Caught some nice Jacks. Slow trolling, but they made a worked hard and got us some nice fish.

We caught fish when everyone else said it was slow. Paco and Omar were awesome!!
