Crew was awesome. We got on a Marlin about 45 minutes after leaving the slip! Got it in the boat and felt every minute of fighting it! Had two more on during the day but they had other plans. Awesome afternoon. Boat was comfy and cool. A/C in cozy cabin made it nice to get out of the sun! Will definitely use Silky in the future.

My family had a wonderful time on the Silky with Captin Dave and firstmate Kayin. My 17 y/o got a hookup 10 minutes out of the harbor, with a 115 lbs. Marlon. He realed it in and we got some pictures. One of the reasons I chose Silky was they claimed to do tag and release on Marlons, good to their word we let the little guy go! 20 minutes later I hooked a 40 lbs. Short billed spearfish “Chucker”. We took daughter and grands on the Silky. The captain and first mate were personable, friendly, helpful and shared their knowledge.  My daughter caught a billfish which they cleaned and filleted for us.  The boat was very clean and comfortable.  The parlor was well-appointed and cool though we chose to spend our time up on the bridge. It was a great time and we would do it again.

  We went out with Capt. John, and mates David and Jordan; and though the fish didn’t cooperate, it was not due to lack of effort. From changing lure colors and sizes to hitting all the spots we could in our 6 hr trip, this captain and crew’s effort to catch fish was impressive. We had great conversation about the islands, fishing and more. The whole crew was just as invested in catching fish as we were. Next time I’m in the Kona area I am going to give Silky Sportfishing a call.

Fantastic day on the water with Captain Dave and Mate Clayton.  Reeled in a 200 pound flying Blue Marlin for Tag and Release.  Caught a Mahi Mahi for a Fish Taco dinner.  Great effort by the crew to make the day a huge success.  Proud to fly the flags on entering back into the harbor.
