Even tho the weather patterns this time of year are very inconsistent. The fishing here has been just the opposite. My trips so far all winter have been really good. Most of the time catching multiple species each time out. Tho cooler water temperatures seem to have to fish in slightly deeper water. They also haven’t missed a opportunity to feed on a moving tide. Speckled trout have also made a appearance here of late. This time of year there’s not a lot of pressure on these fish, so I like to take advantage of that factor. Days when the temps start anywhere from low 30s to mid 40s I would schedule departure of my trips around mid morning. Most of the time it warms up nicely and is very comfortable time to be on the water.
