During your trip, you’ll learn about musky seasonal patterns, how to find fish holding locations, proper fishing techniques, proper fish handling practices and so much more. Casting trips are the primary technique, but trolling for muskies is also an option, especially in the fall.
Trips with Musky Geek Guide Service are open to the whole family, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You’ll be fishing from a 19’ Champion bass boat that can carry up to 3 guests. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Musky season starts the first Saturday in June and I typically fish until early November. Bass trips are usually in July.
It’s recommended to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray).
