Captian Larry was very good at communicating what we needed and the expectations we had for our trip. My fiancé and I fish a lot back home but have never fished the ocean before and Larry was very informative and helpful with getting us on fish. He was very attentive to us and to make sure we having a fun time. Captian Larry was a very knowledgeable Captian, and fun guy to fish with. I would recommended Captian Larry to anyone!

P.S. the dolphins were a very cool and welcome “nuisance“

He was the opposite of complacent and was constantly in the phone networking with other captains and studying the GOS to find us action give me the water temps were colder than ideal and we were early in season and pre-spawn. Tried the harbor and no dice so went out into the big water. No linkers but caught trigger, porgy, rock fish, mingo, squirrel fish and ruby lips. Baited with shrimp and squid. Had a lot of action and he was persistent to put us on active spots. Wound up with 3 keepers. Would definitely go with Larry again but wait for a more ideal time of year. He was great to text us beforehand to let us know about the cold weather and what to wear. Had we not known that, it would have put a damper on an otherwise fun and memorable fishing trip. Highly recommend this captain and charter outfit!

Capt Larry knew we wanted to get to the gulf for the big fish and the night before our trip communicated that the weather wasn’t going to cooperate and we’d have to stay in the bay. He told us fishing had been slow, so we were not expecting much.
He took us to one spot near a dock and within seconds our son had hooked a beautiful Pompano! His second cast was also a “Pomp” and from then on we had the best luck and so much fun catching several Spanish Mackerel and a few more Pompanos. He even took one for the team when my son wanted to check out his Spaniard before it went in the box and it bit Capt Larry’s finger!
Capt Larry was great with the kids, fun to hang out with, and we came back with pounds and pounds of fish to eat! It was a great trip!!

Even with rough water and rain- Capt Larry put us in fish going out and coming back in. He worked very patiently with the situation we were dealt and made it a great experience. Very personable and engaging. Would recommend to all and we are looking forward to next year if not before to getting on the water with him.

My girlfriend and I decided to give fishing a try while we were on vacation. Note, she’s very new to fishing, but has started to really enjoyed it as of recent. Larry was extremely patient with her, showed her the ropes, and she ended up out-fishing me!

I will definitely be booking a charter with Larry again!
