My son and I had a great time out on Galveston Bay and exploring the Clear Lake and Taylor Lake environs. We got into a couple of really big black drum early on out in the bay, but wind and waves and few bites in the morning had us exploring closer to shore. Some days you get a bunch and some days not so many. We finished the day inside the lakes and managed to catch a few more to finish the day. Overall great experience. Captain Allen took care of all our needs and did everything possible to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves. I do not hesitate to recommend him highly and we will certainly be out with him again in the future.

We came down from Canada and got the opportunity to go fishing with Al. It was my 17 year old daughters’ first time salt water fishing, and she is hooked - pun intended. Al was very professional and his expertise allowed us to enjoy the experience to the fullest with a full camera roll thanks to the amount of fish we caught. We had a great time and will certainly return for more fun and adventure in the future.

Capt Allen was on point from the time we called to say we were arriving a few minutes late until the end when he recommended a stellar place for lunch.  We were not in a position to keep any fish, so we just kept count ( sort of ). We caught redfish, black drum, and catfish, and we lost count after a while. We didn’t catch a trophy fish but we reeled them in all morning. Capt Allen knows his gear, his boat, and the area. He was patient with us and was a complimentary instructor. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again with him. Great experience, thanks again Capt Allen!
