I had an incredible experience fishing with “Top Notch Fishing Charters” on Lake Michigan! It’s always a good sign when you need to buy a bigger cooler afterward. From the start, Darren and Sammy were fantastic. Darren put our safety first, especially when the weather conditions made it unsafe for our originally planned trip. He made the tough call to postpone, but we were able to reschedule a couple of days later—and it was absolutely worth the wait!

These guys really know their stuff! They had us reeling in so many fish that my family and I were busy the entire time. The boat was spotless and super comfortable, making it a perfect trip for the whole family. My son (14) and daughter (10) had an absolute blast. Darren and Sammy were amazing with the kids, making sure they were comfortable and enjoying themselves throughout the trip. This was truly a memorable experience for all of us! Can’t wait for our next trip with them! Highly recommend that you find a time to go out with these guys!

For a warm-weather, mid-day trip our expectations were limited, knowing the better fishing tends to be in the mornings and evenings.  But Cap’n Tony and Skipper Lily worked their tails off to put us on fish and we ended up with a great catch and a good variety of fish: king salmon, coho salmon, lake and rainbow trout.  Beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained boat made the trip very enjoyable for our family of six ranging from 8-72.  Owner Darren went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of.  Thank you Top Notch Sportfishing!

Captain Darren tried to message me earlier about changing my trip and I ignored it.  We came from over 3 hours away so I figured why not go out.  They did what I asked in rough waters but I decided to cut the trip off early.  My nephew did catch a nice Brown Trout.  Captain Darren and his first mate were great.  The morale of the story is to listen to your Captain.  He knows what he’s doing.  We did a trip with Top Knotch last year and it was great.  We’ll definitely go with them again.

This is my second year chartering with Top Notch.  Each year they have done everything they could to make sure we land fish. We were number one charter on our trip with most fish for the day. Darren is a great captain and couldn’t be happier with Cody as our first mate.  Plenty of knowledge was shared about surrounding waters and techniques. We will be back next year

We had captain Tony and Lily as a first mate. This was the best charter I’ve ever been on by far!! Lily ran the lines like she was born to fish.  There were three of us and we went 15 for 15 and didn’t lose a fish. We asked to specifically target steelhead cohos and lakers. Boy did they put us on em. Thank you Tony and Lily for an awesome day!!!!
