Me and my 13 year old son have been on several fishing charters and this by far was the best. Captain Ozzie had an incredible level of patience as he answered all of the questions that my son had about fishing…and there were a lot of questions. He knew the area very well and worked very hard to ensure that we caught fish. On a very slow fishing day, we were able to find action towards the end of the trip as we caught several fish. As an added touch the boat was awesome and the snacks were great. We were able to fish in many areas of shallow water, where many boats could not go. Would highly recommend this trip if you really want to learn about fishing, as Captain Ozzie is a walking Encyclopedia. He also shared many historical fun facts about the area. We can’t wait to plan our next fishing trip with Captain Ozzie in July, when we are back in Topsail again.

Captain Ozzy greeted us with enthusiasm and excitement on the dock and with a bit of review and setting the course of action for the day we were off! Ozzy was the absolute definition of a knowledgeable and experienced fishing guide. He put my sons and I on fish from the very beginning of our 8 hour day up to the last minute we were on the water. We experienced a variety of different fishing scenarios and each were explained to us so we understood what we were looking at above water, as well as what was going on below the water. 

The day I shared with Ozzy and my sons on the water will not be forgotten. The biggest part of making our day a success was a captain that understood his guests, and catered his plan to our needs and experience level.

This was the third time we had been on a guided fishing trip. Captain Ozzie was by far the best host we have had. We didn’t catch as much fish as we would have liked, but that was no fault of his. I’m sure the time of year weather conditions, and most of all our lack of fishing expertise played a large role in our shortage of success.
We definitely plan to do this again, and highly recommend captain Ozzie as a guide

Would highly recommend! Anthony was clearly an expert and we had an awesome experience. He was super friendly and put us on some great fish. Along with catching a lot of fish, we had great conversation with an awesome guy. It was worth every penny and we’ll definitely be back for another trip.

My mother, husband, and I went for a half day with zero experience. Ozzy made us feel welcome and comfortable on the water. We would not have enjoyed it as much with anyone else. We highly recommend him and will be going back!
