We took our four kids out with Captain Luis (ex school teacher!) and first mate, Rene and we had a blast. Sea sickness got the best of us (get your Dramamine while you’re in town because it was hard to find!) So we had to cut it short, but not before plenty of Dorado and tuna action! We had two Dorado on at once, male and female, between my wife and I and got to witness those beautiful animals jump and fight! We landed one and then went off to find a tuna school. Luis and Rene coached the kids on how to look for birds and bait balls. We only made it 5 miles out and I’m confident the Captain would have put us on a sail fish or Marlin had we been able to stomach the seas for our half day adventure. Regardless, it was an unforgettable experience that I would recommend to any level of fisherman. Thank you Captain!

The crew was awesome. First time we have taken the whole family on a charter, as our youngest is 4. The crew was very helpful in understanding the rigging and tried all day to get us on fish. 5 other boats didn’t catch when we went also. The crew was playing with our 4 year old while searching for fish. Even though none of the boats caught that day we would still book again with Captain Luis for another trip. At the dock Captain Luis hooked a fish and let our 4 year old reel it in so he could catch something.

We had good action most of the time. Captain and crew had us hands on and fishing. We trolled, caught fish. We bottom fished in deep water, caught fish. I wish I would have booked an all dayer.  Ice cold beer and refreshment. Highly recomended.

Capt. Louis is a down to earth practical fisherman with a sturdy boat and a strong desire to get you on the fish. His mate Renee is great with conversation and work ethic. The sea grass and and stout waves made for difficult conditions. The guys hustled to keep lures clear of grass and in the water. In the end it wasn’t our day, but instead of staying out he gave us the option of making it a half day. Book with Captain Luis and Renee and you’ll leave with a friend in Arecibo. Captain Luis is one savvy angler. Very humble, but he holds a few records and that was prevalent in our charter. We were fishing in the off season, and still were able to bring in fish. Out of five boats that went out that day, Captain Luis was the one to make sure we didn’t come home empty handed! Will definitely book a trip the next time I’m back on the island!
