Shallow Water Guide Service
Shallow Water Guide Service invites you to fish the shallow water back bays and creeks in the beautiful Fort Myers, Florida. This area is known for its abundance of inshore fish species that round these waters year-round. Whether you are after a good game fish or a tasty one, Captain Joey Shogren will be able to hook you up.
Captain Joey can take you fishing for Snook, Redfish, Trout and Tarpon as the main targeted species on your trip. But if you want more variety and some good table-fare fish, Mangrove Snapper, King Mackerel, Gag Grouper, Permit, Tripletail and Blacktip Shark are a good choice. Alternatively, you can target Ladyfish and Jack Crevalle as sound game fish.
You will fish aboard a 24’ Yellowfin bay boat originally built in 2014 that can take you and up to four fishing buddies out. The vessel is powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine, with a whopping top speed of 65 knots.
Captain Joey has equipped this beauty with a livewell for the bait, an icebox to keep the catch fresh, a fighting chair, a wireless trolling motor in order to reach the very shallow bits, and electronics to locate the best fishing spots.
Shallow Water Guide Service always provides top-notch fishing gear in the form of Penn and Shimano rods and reels, a variety of tackle and bait, ice, water, Gatorade, and fishing licenses. Captain Joey can also clean and fillet you catch so make sure you bring a cooler to transport your catch home in. There is nothing better than enjoying your own catch at dinner!
