Capt. Tom’s goal is to get you that 10lb Okeechobee ‘hawg’. Even if you don’t end up with double-digit Largemouth Bass, rest assured that Capt. Tom will work hard to put you on top of the hottest bite. He knows the area like the back of his hand and works only with the methods that work best.
The lake has a lot of weed beds, where you will be able to use live bait or artificials. You will be fishing heavy cover with less soft plastic. Light tackle, fly fishing, and spinning will be your technique for the day.
Fishing Guide Captain Tom Hinterschied will take you out aboard the ‘Dolphin’, a 22’ flats boat. This comfortable vessel can run pretty fast and shallow. There is enough space for up to 6 anglers. The Dolphin is rigged with a GPS, a fishfinder, an icebox, and professional gear.
Your trip will come with the use of quality rods, reels, tackle, lures, or fly fishing equipment. If you are over 16 years old or under 65, you will need to buy a freshwater fishing license. Live bait is extra and needs to be purchased in advance.
All Largemouth Bass caught an be either released or kept, depending on your personal preferences.
