Great Barrier Reef Fishing & Tours
Great Barrier Reef Fishing will take you exploring the world-famous waters of Queensland. Based in Cardwell, the charter has easy access to the tropical islands and Great Barrier Reef. Add an experienced guide to the mix and you’ve got yourself a fun day with lots of rod-bending action. You don’t need to be a seasonal angler to enjoy your day out. Just hold your rod tight when you feel the bite and the captain will help you with the rest.
The crew will meet you next to Hinchinbrook boat ramp. You’ll board their 24’ Sailfish boat that accommodates up to 4 anglers. This catamaran is powered by twin 150 HP Mercury engines, navigational electronics, and an esky. To make the trip comfortable, especially during full day trip, there’s also a private toilet.
Throughout the trip, you can try out different fishing techniques. From trolling, bottom fishing, drift fishing to hand lining – anything that will bring you fish. If you’re interested in spearfishing, discuss it with the captain in advance and bring your equipment.
Since you’ll sail in such bountiful waters, lots of fish can come up as your potential targets. Nannygai, Giant Trevally, Coral Trout, Snapper, Sailfish, or Black Marlin, to name a few. You can even keep the catch and the first mate will clean it for you.
Your rods, reels, and lures are provided by the captain. You’ll need to take care of your food and drinks for the day, and make sure you bring your sun protection.
Take a trip with Great Barrier Reef Fishing and get ready for some excitement!
