Lake Grapevine, July 6th 2020 Kevin along with fellow dad Michael brought their boys Kash and Brandon out for an afternoon trip on Lake Grapevine With storms in the forecast we at least wanted to give it a chance and the group was glad we did! After looking a few spots another angler was kind enough to share his success and put us in the right spot to put fish in the box. The White Bass were holding close to a drop off and it seemed the best method of catching them was small short hops or rod tip flips of our RSR Lures jigging spoons. As the afternoon wore on the fish became more and more active chasing bait and aggressive. Just before the storms got to close and the captain called to head in there were fish all around the boat! The 4 gentlemen put 39 in the box and there were some doubles caught as well as multiple fish on the line. The surface temp of the water is starting to climb but we are still catching a lot of our fish fairly deep for this time of year. The water clarity has greatly improved over the last week or so as well.
