As FishingBooker continues to grow and expand, our Legal team is searching for a new Verification Specialist to ensure compliance from FishingBooker’s growing number of vendors. FishingBooker’s ultimate goal is to only work with trustworthy, licensed and legitimate captains and businesses. As a Verification Specialist you will play a crucial role in achieving this by making sure FishingBooker’s vendors are compliant with all laws. In this entry-level position, you will handle the verification process for vendors and conduct legal research on aspects of FishingBooker as a business.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain our database of charter operator’s verification documents.

  • Communicate with captains on a daily basis, via phone, text, and email. Answer their questions regarding the verification process and guide them through the requirements. Or simply, ask them to provide any additional/missing information in order to ensure they are fully verified.

  • Research licensing regulations and update them when necessary.

  • Investigate any legal issues related to charter operator’s conduct.

Requirements:

  • Native-level fluency in spoken and written English.

  • Excellent command of Spanish (speaking and writing skills). 

  • A law background and some knowledge of the legal system. 

  • Good research skills.

  • Strong communication skills on the phone and email.

  • Self-motivated team player.

  • Strong organizational skills.

It’s a plus:

  • If you have a bachelor’s degree in Law or related discipline.

  • If you have legal research experience.
