Recruiter

Operations - On-site
This position is no longer available.

FishingBooker is looking for a passionate Recruiter to own the recruitment process and hire top talent.

You’ll be responsible for and own our recruitment process from start to finish. You’ll work closely with the HR Manager and Employer Branding Specialist to hire and create a memorable candidate experience for everyone who comes into contact with the FishingBooker brand. It’s ok if you see yourself in another HR role down the road, but we need you as a Recruiter for about two years.

If you enjoy attracting and hiring top talent, have the skills to hire high-profile engineers (ideally five before Q3), and you're ready to roll up your sleeves, we're most likely the right fit for each other.

About the job and team

You will recruit for a variety of positions (technical and non-technical) with a heavy focus on mid-senior engineering roles. Since each role is different, you will have the freedom to come up with different strategies and approaches (with flexible budgets) depending on the position you’re hiring for.

You’ll have access to tools and platforms like Workable, HackerRank, Vervoe, Recrooit, Joberty, Startit, Helloworld, etc. You name it, we have it. :)

The good thing is that our hiring managers are capable of executing hiring independently and we’ve had a lot of success with this approach. For example, our Customer Happiness team hired eight (8) people in two (2) weeks with minimal involvement from our Recruiter.

Plans for this year (especially the beginning) are to hire 4+ Senior Software Engineers (Backend and Frontend), long-term plans are 1-2 medior Software Engineers, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, 2 QA Specialists, Product Marketing Manager, 1-2 Product Managers.

As previously said, ideally you’ll remain in this position for at least 2 years in order to make a strong impact and help achieve goals. After this period, the People Operations career path will help you explore different verticals in HR if this is something you’re interested in. Every six months you’ll go through an assessment and have a chance to progress in seniority and financially.

About you

You’re an experienced recruiter (2+ years) and ideally, you’ll have experience hiring for tech positions. You’re motivated, a self-starter, and truly enjoy working in this field.

Depending on the position, you’ll communicate in both English and Serbian. Your English (both written and spoken) should be near-native so that you are able to assess candidates for the same. You should be a clear communicator and comfortable reaching out to and talking with a variety of people (different backgrounds, levels of seniority).

You have high standards, strong attention to detail, and feel comfortable utilizing data in order to make sound business decisions and improve our processes. Above all, you care about the work you do and enjoy working in a team, appreciate transparency, and are open to feedback and new ideas.

What do you get?

  • Salary. We have defined roles and salary ranges for all positions, for a mid-senior level Recruiter, you can expect a net salary between €1,075 - €1,700 depending on your experience and how you perform in the interview process. We re-evaluate salaries in the company on a yearly basis (we just increased salaries across the board from January 2022).

  • Bonuses. You will have a chance to get a bonuse on every hired medior (€525) and/or senior (€1050) engineer.

  • Time off. You’ll start with 23 days of paid vacation (additional days are provided depending on how long you work at the company). We pay sick leave at the rate of 100% for periods shorter than 30 days and don’t ask for paperwork unless it will take longer.

  • Clear career path. When we start working together, every six months (April and October) you will receive a detailed performance review from your team lead with clear instructions on how to grow further. During these periods, you will also be eligible for salary increases based on how you progress in line with the career path.

  • Company-sponsored fishing trips. It’s important that you get to experience the product FishingBooker sells, so we will treat the whole company to a fishing trip every year. In 2019 we went to Rovinj, Croatia and in 2018 we went to Fujairah, UAE. You will have a diverse team of supportive, caring, and friendly colleagues from all over the world with whom you’ll be able to enjoy additional team-building activities over the course of the year.

  • Private health insurance. FishingBooker provides a private health insurance package.

  • Remote-friendly and flexible hours. You are free to set your own working hours, as long as they allow you to do your job and have good collaboration with your team. Once you’re fully onboarded, you will have the flexibility to work from the office or work from the comfort of your home (when you don’t have interviews in the office, of course). Our office is next to Delta City in Novi Beograd. Ideally, you would spend some time in the office to bond and get a better understanding of the culture.
